Nigerian singer Yemi Alade, who has received a Grammy nomination, has alleged that Clout Africa and Cool FM are preventing her music from being played because she missed their event.

The artist, recognized for her song “Johnny,” took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice her concerns, claiming that her songs have been taken off their platforms.

She noted that this blacklisting has lasted for a year after she opted out of attending their event.

She reports that even after reaching out with apologies via calls and texts, there was no response.

Her tweets directed at Clout Africa and Cool FM accused them of being overly strict and not replying.

Alade expressed her frustration in several tweets, saying the stations and their leaders were upset about her absence.
