Yhemolee Reacts To Video Of Wizkid Old School Friend “Dare Akapo” Calling The Singer’s Name At An Event

  • Yhemolee, commented on a viral video involving Wizkid’s former classmate, Dare Akapo
  • The video shows Akapo calling out to Wizkid at an event, trying to get his attention
  • Akapo introduced himself as “Dare Akapo of sociology LASU” while Wizkid was about to perform
  • Nigerian nightlife influencer Yhemolee has shared his thoughts on social media about a viral video featuring Wizkid’s former classmate, Dare Akapo, who called out the singer’s name at an event.

Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, is currently trending on Instagram after a clip showed his old school mate trying to grab his attention by saying, “Deji, this is Dare Akapo of sociology LASU,” just as Wizkid was about to begin his performance in Lagos.

Wizkid went to Ijebu Ode Grammar School for his secondary education. He later joined Lagos State University (LASU) but did not finish. After that, he attended Lead City University for a short time before leaving after two sessions to pursue his music career.

In a viral video on Instagram, Wizkid was seen with Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, the Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, along with strong security as he was getting ready to perform. A university colleague was trying to get the singer’s attention.

In the video, a colleague of Wizkid at Uni was heard saying, “Deji, this is Dare Akapo from sociology.”

However, Wizkid was focused on his performance and didn’t seem to notice, as he entertained his fans with ease.

Yhemolee, a father of one, couldn’t stop laughing after watching a clip of Wizkid’s old schoolmate saying, “Deji, Dare Akapo of sociology, LASU.” The comment, “His dad’s name doesn’t ring a bell,” made him laugh even more.

Wizkid is likely the richest musician in Nigeria right now. He is famous for his hit songs over the years and enjoys driving luxury cars and living in grand homes in Lagos, the UK, and the USA. He might have forgotten his time at LASU since he dropped out to pursue his music career.
