Yomi Fabiyi Organizes Protest For Justice In Mohbad’s Death

Actor Yomi Fabiyi has taken his fight for justice for the late singer Mohbad to the streets. He led a peaceful protest in Lagos on February 27.

Mohbad’s sudden death on September 12, 2023, has raised many questions, driving Fabiyi to keep the discussion going.

The protest kicked off at Alausa and wrapped up at the Lagos State Police Command in Ikeja. It was characterized by a peaceful determination and calls for accountability and transparency in the investigation.

Fabiyi, holding a noticeable banner that proclaimed, “Justice for Mohbad 2025,” rallied young people to stand with him in the unwavering pursuit of truth.

This move comes after a disputed decision by a Yaba magistrate court that dropped charges against Naira Marley, the former head of Mohbad’s record label, and others.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions plans to take action against auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe and Mohbad’s friend, Ayobami Sadiq, for their careless and negligent behavior.

Ogedengbe, who is accused of giving the deadly injection, will be charged under Section 251 (e) of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.

The police commissioner of Lagos State, Idowu Owohunwa, said that Ogedengbe’s actions caused a quick response that ultimately resulted in Mohbad’s sad death.
