Gospel artist Salau Olayiwola, known as Testimony Jaga, has expressed his views regarding the ongoing conflict between Mercy Chinwo-Blessed and her former record label owner, Ezekiel ThankGod Onyedikachukwu, commonly referred to as EeZee T.
Jaga emphasized that EeZee T must seek repentance for his actions, warning that failure to do so will lead to negative consequences. He recounted how several pastors had advised him to move on from his dispute with the hitmaker of “Excess Love,” advice he chose to ignore.
He further mentioned that during EeZee’s arrest in Ilorin, Kwara State, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) found discrepancies in the financial declarations made by the record label head, revealing that the amount he reported was significantly less than what was actually owed to Mercy. The true figures were only uncovered through the involvement of external auditors.
The gospel artist criticized EeZee T for bringing shame to the Christian community through his conduct, noting that there is a lack of positive remarks about him. Jaga recalled that EeZee was previously the manager of gospel singer Frank Edward, but his recent actions have led many to refrain from supporting him.
In a video shared on Instagram, Testimony accused EeZee T of commercializing the gospel music ministry, alleging that he has been blackmailing the artists signed under his label. Jaga claimed that EeZee imposes fees on gospel singers wishing to collaborate with his artists and similarly charges churches, which has resulted in pastors not publicly defending him. He also offered encouragement to Mercy Chinwo, asserting that EeZee T cannot hinder the divine grace present in her life.
