Musician Seun Kuti has ignited a wave of reactions online following his recent comments regarding the intelligence of President Bola Tinubu.

In a video that has gained traction on social media, Kuti asserted that anyone who considers themselves more intelligent than Tinubu is “very foolish.”

The Afrobeat artist made these remarks while discussing Tinubu’s political tactics and leadership approach. He contended that those who underestimate the president’s intellect do not appreciate his capability to navigate the intricate political environment of Nigeria.

“If you think you’re smarter than Tinubu, you’re the one that is stupid,” Kuti stated, underscoring that Tinubu’s political achievements are not mere coincidences but rather the result of his strategic acumen and extensive experience.

His statements have prompted a lively debate among Nigerians, with some affirming that Tinubu’s ascent to power is indicative of his intelligence, while others contend that intelligence should not be evaluated solely based on political strategies.

In other news, Former Minister of Works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, has proposed that the allure of suspended senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan may be influencing her political trajectory.

In an interview on Arise News TV, Ogunlewe remarked that Natasha’s physical appeal makes it challenging for men to overlook her, potentially affecting her reputation within the political sphere.

He recognized that female senators are increasingly exhibiting confidence and assertiveness in legislative discussions, no longer viewing themselves as subordinate to their male peers.

Nonetheless, he contended that Akpoti-Uduaghan’s notable beauty might affect her relationships with male colleagues.

The female senators did not look at themselves as if they were inferior to men. They were even up to the task. If you even mention that Ita-Giwa is a woman, the response you are going to get will make you ashamed of yourself because they will stand up to you,” Ogunlewe said.

Commenting on Natasha’s appearance, he added:

“But the beauty of Senator Natasha is a problem to her.

“You know, men — when somebody who is pretty passes by you, your attitude will change. You can smile, you can wink, but you may not talk to her. But her beauty is a problem, there’s no doubt about that.

“To men, when she’s passing, there’s no way a man will not look at that woman.

“It is a natural thing for a man to look at beautiful women. How can you be a man, and a beautiful woman is passing, and you close your eyes?”
