Habeeb Okikiola, better known by his stage name Portable, is a Nigerian musician, rapper, and songwriter. He increased the price of his show from 2.5 million to 3.5 million and has called out Bola Tinubu, the president of Nigeria, over economic challenges.
The musician was heard expressing his thoughts in the aforementioned viral video, saying that everything has become too expensive.
He went on to say that the president was the one who drove up petrol prices, and that’s why people are becoming agitated.
He disclosed that he raised the price of his concert by a million naira compared to the 2.5 million naira he asked for the previous year due to the rise in the cost of goods like fuel, Garri, and a few other items.
The artist was very open in saying that the economic realities of the nation led him to make this decision.
