Nigerian senators have come under fire from well-known rapper Mayorkun, who has demanded that money be used for road repairs rather than the purchase of new SUVs.
The artist expressed his worries about the status of the roads and the pressing need for repairs.
He stated that the government should prioritize road repair above needless spending on expensive cars that will not ultimately benefit Nigerians, mostly because of safety concerns for drivers and pedestrians.
In his statement, Mayorkun directly addressed the senators, pleading with them to prioritize road maintenance above the purchase of expensive cars.
The artist made a clear point of pointing out how awful the Lekki-Epe freeway is and how undesirable it is.
He blasted the senators for buying SUVs while essential road infrastructure was still in poor condition.
Mayorkun expressed his dissatisfaction, bemoaning Nigeria’s poor quality of roads and highlighting how even the most skilled drivers may be humbled by their country’s appalling road conditions.
