Illbliss, a well-known Nigerian rapper, has recalled his late comrade, Oladapo Olaonipekun, also known as Dagrin.
On April 22, 2010, the rapidly rising indigenous rapper was killed in an automobile accident.
On the 14th anniversary of the late rapper’s death, Illbliss stated that his “legacy will never end”.
On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, Illbliss posted a photo of Dagrin on X and wrote:
“Keep Resting Bro!
“Your legacy will never end.
“We remember you.
“We respect your colossal immeasurable contributions to Nigerian Hiphop. You inspired so many
“Keep resting.”
Dagrin is widely credited for paving the way for indigenous rap in Nigeria, and inspiring many other indigenous rappers even after his death.
He was known for hits like Pon Pon Pon, Thank God (feat. Omawumi), Kondo, If I Die and many more.
He died at the age of 25.
