Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has taken to social media to criticize those who have condemned Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, for publicly announcing his separation from his wife, Annie.
According to Gistlover, the renowned artist revealed through his verified Instagram account that he and Annie had been living apart for some time and were in the process of filing for divorce.
The announcement of their separation has elicited a wide range of reactions from both fans and fellow celebrities.
In response to the backlash directed at 2Baba, Yul Edochie addressed the insults on Friday, asserting that critics have no right to interfere in the personal matters of the couple, as they are unaware of the circumstances that transpire behind closed doors.
The actor emphasized that, similar to women, men also encounter challenges in marriage but often choose to remain silent. He called on the public to respect the couple’s choices and extend their best wishes to them.
He said, “Anybody insulting 2Baba or calling him out because of his family matter wey no concern you, thunder fire you.
“You don’t live with him in his home. You don’t know what happens behind closed doors. You have no right to judge either of the couple. You’re not Jesus Christ,” he added.
“It’s not only women who go through stuff in marriage. Men go through a lot too. But most times men remain silent about it for various reasons.
“Leave people alone to make their decisions. They’re adults. Wish both of them well and mind your own life.”
