Popular content creator, Zicsaloma, has stirred public concern after accusing the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) of refusing to admit his mother, who is currently battling cancer.
In a recent social media update, the comedian revealed that his mother, who is undergoing chemotherapy, was in critical condition and needed urgent care. After being rushed to a local hospital, she was referred to LUTH for further treatment — the same facility where she had previously received her first chemotherapy session.
According to Zicsaloma, upon arriving at LUTH, his mother — who was too weak to walk — was denied entry and told to go elsewhere for the procedure. Despite returning later with necessary test results, his mother, sister, and a family friend were again turned away by the hospital’s security personnel.
He explained that the security officials insisted they would only be allowed in once the laboratory results were officially released, which would reportedly take up to three hours. Even with multiple attempts to explain the urgency of the situation, access to the hospital remained blocked.
Frustrated by the ordeal, Zicsaloma expressed his heartbreak, stating, “The doctors are so unsympathetic, if someone is sick in this Nigeria, the person can just die”,
