In other news, Sean Combs, aka Diddy, an embattled American music mogul, has been charged with the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur.

According to new court documents, the boss of Bad Boys Records is accused of paying $1 million for Shakur’s assassination by defendant Duane “Keefe D” Davis, who was arrested for the murder last year.

Diddy is mentioned 77 times in the papers filed on Thursday (July 18) under his multiple pseudonyms: Puffy, Puff Daddy, Puff, and his government name, Sean Combs.

“Defendant [Keefe] has asserted publicly that he only told on himself and wasn’t trying to provide evidence against anyone else in his conversations with police. However, this statement belies this claim, as he suggested that Sean Combs paid Eric Von Martin a million dollars for the killings,” the documents read in part.

According to one of the transcripts, Davis testified about Diddy’s involvement in 2Pac’s death.

Police questioned Davis about Puffy Combs’ role in the incident. Davis said, “Yeah, I think he did.” Davis claims Diddy informed him and a group of about 45 people that he “would give anything” for Knight’s “head” because he was “scared” of him and had a fight with Shakur after he made a diss track about him.

Prosecutors filed documents to oppose Davis’ most recent bail request. His $112,500 bail bond was denied last month due to concerns regarding the source of the money.

However, it is unclear whether Diddy will be subpoenaed or charged as part of the case.
