Nigerian artist Portable made headlines during his appearance on the Echoo Room podcast with Quincy Jonze. He harshly criticized fellow musician Zlatan Ibile, calling him “the devil” who sparked a conflict between him and Davido.
Portable shared that while he was enjoying his tour in the U.S., Davido invited him to hang out, but Zlatan’s involvement led to a rift with Davido.
He also commented on Fela Kuti, implying that his untimely death was due to not staying out of others’ affairs.
Furthermore, Portable accused Carter Efe of constantly asking him for a collaboration, but he had nice things to say about Wizkid, who was the first to give him money on stage.

Portable’s blunt statements have ignited a strong debate. With some fans defend his ability to express himself, while others are upset by his severe words aimed at other artists.
